Saturday 23rd July see the women of Rugby League here in Australia square off in their State of Origin on the Gold Coast, they are a part of a triple header at the CBUS Stadium.
The Women' are playing for the Nellie Doherty Cup this match will be played at 3pm, the other match on the day including the Holden Cup and NRL clashes between the Gold Coast Titans and Parramatta Eels.
We talk to Maddie about her NSW team and it chance of breaking the drought as Queensland had won the trophy 16 consecutive times until 2014, before retaining it with a 4-4 draw last year.
Maddie did speak to us earlier in the year ahead of the Jillaroo's Clash with New Zealand in Newcastle.
