Our single most valuable –yet least understood– treasure here on earth is our identity in Christ which is locked and irremovable from the grip of God. God has declared through scripture the truth of who you are and whose you are in Christ. Until it becomes prominent in our thinking, we remain stuck in the impossible struggle to make our flesh behave through endless and pointless behavior modification efforts. And since our old man nature won’t behave, others see us as hypocrites trying to act out the role of the Christians –failing to do what we say. The church has majored on behavior modification rather than focus teaching on our identity in Christ. Once we discover our glorious identity in Christ, we understand the royal privileges and rights of every believer to inherit the Kingdom now, we are able to effectively move into advancing Kingdom mandates around the world by the power of the Holy Spirit. Advancing to take nations for the Kingdom always begins with believers prospering in the soul arena (maturation) as we proceed from victory to victory, from glory to glory.

“Identity in Christ” has been an ongoing church phrase in recent years. Historically, the church focuses on correcting actions rather than revealing identity. The identity of the believer is everything. Identity is not found in what you do. Your identity is found in who God says you are. There’s nothing you, or anyone, or anything else can do to change your identity. Your identity is established by God, locked away in the powerful vault of being in Christ. For too long our churches have taught "behavior modification" instead of revealing identity. Because of that, we end up with lots of people clueless as to who they are as sons and daughters of God. You cannot have behavior that is consistent with who you are if you do not understand who you are.

(Part 2) To be effective believers we must go beyond the Christian life we have known. We must redefine “normal Christianity” so it lines up with God’s idea of normal, not the definition we have accepted and grown accustomed to based on our experiences (or the lack of). The normal Christian life begins with the realization that we were put here to do the will of God on earth as it is in heaven.

Revelation is progressive so we are always progressing forward. We need to reconcile our minds so it is Kingdom friendly or in harmony with the Kingdom and the Spirit of God. We must begin to shift beyond the place of revival into a place of living of daily living in His presence. This is what the revival life is all about.

We must put revelation into practice. Renewal comes as revelation leads you into a new experience with God. We may get inspiration during our bible study time or while hearing the word preached, but without taking the next step into experience, the process stalls and there is no renewal.
