This is another beautiful week in the Hiveopenmic community. I am Rukkie and I am glad to be able to present a song for this week's theme.

The theme chosen by the recent spotlight artist @nathcy for week #209 is titled "Love" and I have chosen a song by Céline Dion feat Peabo Bryson titled **BEAUTY AND THE BEAST**

The song talks about two people(a beautiful woman and a beast) who fell in love despite how odd and different they are. After spending time together, they realized that they are the same despite their physical appearances.

I love this song because it talks about just how true beauty comes from within and of course there is a saying that *"beauty is in the eyes of the beholder"*

For This week on #Vibes Web3 Music Competition, there is the use of a theme which I think is a very good idea by the way. All thanks to @lordbutterfly and the brains behind it all.

So the theme with the highest number of votes is **A song from the 1960's**. When I saw that this theme had the highest number of votes, I couldn't help but laugh because I actually find it interesting that we will be going way back to the 60's.

The first song that actually came to mind when I saw this theme was **Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond**


Sweet Caroline was released in 1969 by Neil Diamond. I came across the song the first time when I saw the movie *"The Miracle Season"* which told the story of Caroline Found and also from the Movie *"Purple Hearts"*

I have loved the song ever since and also listened to different versions of it, so I thought of giving it a go myself. I hope you enjoy my presentation.

It's another week in the Vibes community with the Web3 music Competition and my entry for this week is a song by Beyoncé titled **If I Were A Boy**


The song talks about partners who hurts each other and what I can say about this song is that, supposing there was a way to get the roles reversed or better still live on a day in the your partner's shoes and see what we all go through everyday, then maybe just maybe, we would get to treat each other right.

The fact remains that the little things matters a lot and if not properly addressed and they keep taking each other for granted,then they end up losing what they both have.

My entry for this week's competition is a song by **SHONTELLE** titled

The song talk about love and heartbreak. It is true that when love hits you, you sometimes throw caution to the wind. Even when we are told to take caution, we sometimes ignore because of how much we love that person.

It's another week on hiveopenmic with a theme of POESÍA chosen by our spotlight artist @cesaramos and my entry for this week #206 is a song by RIHANNA titled **STUPID IN LOVE**. ,

This song is an heartfelt song which talks about how love sometimes makes us vulnerable. The singer tries to give her man another chance even when she had been hurt by him. Which begs the question, how can something as powerful as love makes us weak?

Most of us finds ourselves in this kind of situation. Knowing fully well that we need to move on but we find it difficult to let go because we still love that person so much.

This is one song that I love most because it's very inspirational. t helps give us hope that there is much love in the world and it always comes to those who believes in it even when they had been hurt before.

I have always loved songs that are inspiring, that helps show our inner strength and make all our hardwork worth it.

*"Each Tear "* talks about one's struggles and preserving through them. This song made me realize that sometimes tears are not a sign of weakness but an indication that we have overcome a certain obstacle and as a result became a better person.

This song has really helped me during my dark times. It helped me know that **I am much more than my struggles** and I have always being striving hard not to make my problems weigh me down.

It's another week in the VIBES community created by @lordbutterfly and other team members working tirelessly to make it a success. I love that the community is growing and also helping more people come onboard the Hive blockchain and I also enjoy watching beautiful entries from other music lovers like myself.

I have always loved oldies and I still do. So for this week's Music Competition, I thought about doing an oldie and this song came to mind. It was one of my favorite hit songs released in the year 2000. The song is titled **MISSING YOU BY CASE**, so I made a cover of the song.


*"MISSING YOU"* circles around the pain and yearning one feels when separated from someone we love so dearly. The thought of them not being with us makes us feel so down and weak. Their absence hit us so deeply that we wished we had never let them go.

This song made me realize just how tough separation is, especially when there is an intense feeling. Sometimes not even a long distance nor being apart can take away such feelings rather it will leave one or both parties incomplete as they begin daydreaming about each other as loneliness sets in amongst other things.

Another thing I got from the song is that sometimes people don't know the value of what they have until they lose it and when they come crying back, it might just be too late. So it's best to cherish the love we have.

I have always loved this song because it talks about self-love and finding the light within us which would enable us to shine as bright as we can be.

Happiness is indeed a choice, you can choose to always be happy against all odds. There is no doubt that there are some things that wants to rob us of our happiness. It's left for us all to not allow it and when faced with such problems, we should find that thing that makes us smile,glow or happy and focus on it.

Hello Hive Open Mic Community. It's been a very long time since I last came here. I have missed you all. I am @rukkie and It's another beautiful week with a theme title **MEMORIES** chosen by our spotlight artist @oluwadrey

For my entry, I have decided to present a song by Anthony Gonzalez titled **REMEMBER ME** (RECUÉRDAME)

There are lots of versions of this song so I decided to do a mixture of Spanish and English. I am not very good at Spanish but I love this song so much that I knew I had decided to give it a try.

This song was from the movie Coco and it goes in line with this week's theme. It is a song a father sings for his daughter as he was about to embark on a journey and from those who saw the movie, the father never came back. But this song is like a remembrance of the memories they both shared, the love between a father and a child.

Sometimes we also miss our loved ones especially those that can never return but their memories lives on forever in our hearts and it can also be passed down to others through the stories that we tell about them.

This theme is one I really connect with and I am happy to hold on to the memories shared with friends and families, those that are here and those that are long gone.
