I love music so much. I see it not only as food for the soul but also as a whole lot as it brings out a lot of emotions in me. Music helps me uplift my spirit, it makes me happy and it also helps brings back memories either good or bad ones.

*"Heaven Sent"* is a love song that expresses a very deep desire to be in the life of someone we love. Sometimes it can be very difficult to find love especially when we have been hurt before. We all need to be not only loved but also trusted and needed.

Love should also be honest. Both parties need to know that they are on the same page and if not, they should learn to let go even if a piece leaves with the other. True love is never forced, it should come naturally, almost feeling like it was **sent from heaven**.

It's another week in the @afri-tunes community. My name is Rukkie and I am glad to be here for the Afri-Christmas volume 2 contest.

For this theme, I will be presenting a song by Teni for the MerryGoKids titled **Keresimesi**( which literally translates to Merry Christmas)

It's exactly one week to Christmas, a season we all love and enjoy. We can feel the aura of festivities in the air as everyone is gearing towards the Christmas celebration by decorating their homes, stocking the house with foodstuffs and many more.

This is a time of the year where people come together to celebrate with their friends and families. You see children travelling down home to see their parents after a long period. What I love most about this time is people eating, drinking and having fun together.

Keresimesi is a song about Christmas and all the joy it brings. It is a season of sharing, giving and putting smiles on people's faces. So whatever we do,let's all try to spread the love to people around us.

No one deserves to feel lonely, why not invite people to celebrate the holidays with you? Well that's if it won't be a burden to you as well. Another thing we should look out for is to make sure we don't over-spend and end up sinking in debt. That won't be a good thing to bring into the New Year.

It's another beautiful week in the afri-tunes community. I am @rukkie and I am glad to be here once again.

For this 88th week, I will be presenting and old song which I stumbled across. It's a song by Yemi Alade titled "Johnny".

The song is a funny one and from the video,I bet we all had a good laugh. I love the beat of the song as it is one that will get you in dancing mode.

Despite the funny part of it, the song gives a deep insight into unfaithfulness and betrayal.

It started with a woman looking for her man named "Johnny". After lots of enquires,she found out that her man is a liar and a cheat who has made promises to other women. One of them was pregnant for him and he is engaged to another.

One of his women expresses her confusion about Johnny leaving her, as well as her hurt and anger at his unfaithfulness. But then even after finding Johnny (with another woman of course), he denies knowing any of them as they fight over him claiming to be the main woman in his life.

The funny thing about this is that even after these women knew of his several affairs with other women, they won't hesitate to go back to him should he choose to be with any of them. Which begs the question *"Shey o da suga si ni?"* (which is a slang for *"Is he that good/sweet or did he add sugar?"*

The song is mostly in pidgin but I hope you enjoy my presentation.

I believe many of us have that dream of what we need to do, where we need to be and what we need to achieve at some stages in our lives.

Some of us might have a long way to go in achieving our dreams and I believe the key here is to "Never Give Up".

Some of us might even think that our dreams are no longer achievable. I tell you this *"if you still have passion for that dream, then you can still achieve it"*

It's #187 week in the Hiveopenmic community and for this chosen theme, I will be presenting the cover of a song by Elvis Presley titled " Can't Help Falling In Love"

I believe a peaceful song is one that helps keep you calm when troubled or when you just want to be alone.

I have also listened to some of the covers of this beautiful song from different artist and *"I can't help but fall in love with it"*. It so peaceful and helps relieve stress for me. I would listen to this song and smile from ear to ear 😊😊😊😊

I listen to it whenever I am having a bad day as it helps reassure me that thing will be fine. I sometimes listen to it before I sleep.

I think everyone has a way of interpreting it. Some listen to it as a way of remembering their loves ones that are no more, others as a way of expressing the feelings of love and so on.

This is week #87 on afritunes. I am @rukkie and it's the start of another beautiful week.

I did enjoy my weekend as I was able to get enough sleep. I must confess that it's been a long time I slept for a long hours like that. My bed was my companion and I didn't care for anything else. Well except for food of course 😃😃😃.

I tried to present the secular song suggested by the community but I don't know why the song is not yet connecting. Maybe because I slept for so long this weekend that my brain is not up for learning a new song.

So for this week, I decided to present a song by a Nigerian artist named Niyola and the song is titled "Toh Bad" which can be translated to "Crazy In Love".

The song describes intense love for one's significant other. I love the way she sang passionately conveying the message of how much she loves her man despite his many faults. As it was seen in the music video how her partner fails to tell the world, he has someone special to him. In his words, he said *"I am single and ready to mingle"* and after all the stunts he pulled, she still took him back.

Well personally, I wouldn't do that. I mean If you can't shout my name through the rooftops and let the whole world knows we belong to each other, then I am gone. But I guess we all love differently.

It's week #186 on Hiveopenmic. I am @rukkie, and this week's theme "Cinema" was chosen by @mairene1, our spotlight artist.

So, in line with the theme, I will be presenting a song by Beyoncé from the movie Dreamgirls (2006)" and the song is titled "Listen"

I chose this song because it is inspirational as well as motivating. It talks about standing up for oneself, finding your own voice, and embracing your individuality. It also encourages us to always listen to our inner voice and break free from the expectations and pressures of society.

It is hard when we find ourselves in a dark realm, a place where our voice doesn't matter. A place where we just have to listen like we are some sort of a robot. A place where being human is forsaken, and our emotions go like dust.

The fact remains that as individuals we each possess a unique voice that deserves to be heard and even when we have people who tries to dim our light and make us feel small or we are not good enough, we should use our voice to make them listen.

And right there in my video, the start was a bit dark, and that wasn't a mistake. That's to show when there was darkness, and then, when the light popped up, it was to show the presence of a tiny hope. And hope they say can spark when it sees light, and this is where I want my voice to be heard.

It's the start of another beautiful week and also the 86th week in the @afri-tunes community.

For this week, I will be presenting one of the songs suggested in the community which is titled "Yawa" by Fireboy DML.

The first time I listened to the song, I fell in love with it because of the message it entails. It was on repeat in my playlist. "Yawa" is a slang used to describe "Trouble".

I chose this song because it gave insights to the challenges one face on their road to success and the funny part of all this is that many people don't seem to see how one struggles to get to the top.

The problem comes after the person has probably achieved something, then there comes different talks,"tongues wagging" and they begin to give different analysis about the person and how they acquire their wealth.

People who doesn't know their success story starts to insinuate they probably got their wealth through illegal means and starts spreading rumors to bring such person down.

I think what we should all know that "people will always talk", it's like we are all wired like that. So why not do you? Instead of looking for validation from people who didn't care about your struggles towards the success ladder. As long as you work hard and put God first, you will always go beyond your dreams.
