Welcome to Ruminate, our daily video Bible study carrying you through the week.
Our desire is that you would connect with God's Word daily, and this video is one way to do that each weekday. Today we are going to ruminate on Psalm 119:12-16.
//
David, the Psalm writer, did not enter into his relationship with God unawares. He fully knows the law of God, the ways of God, and he is stoked about it. He desires to know more and more and more the will and ways of God. He delights in the Word of God. He spends significant time meditating, or ruminating, and thinking about the ways and Word of God. He desires that God would teach him more and more—that God would open his mind and heart to understanding.
He praises God for the Word hidden in his heart, back in verse 11, that keeps him from sinning and ends with the proclamation that he will not neglect God’s Word.
Have you neglected God’s Word? What if you started praying each day that God would teach you His Word, that He would give you delight and joy in the Bible, and that He would transform your heart, mind, and will from the inside out according to His Word?
