Evangelical Christianity has some very specific guidelines when it comes to sex, love, and dating. While many people do understandably take comfort in these restrictions, feeling forced to experience romantic relationships in one specific way can be overwhelming at best, and damaging and dangerous at worst. In this episode we will take a look at what the Evangelical concept of courtship is, how it functions in the culture, its biblical roots, and why I think it can be so dangerous when it’s weaponized against young people.
