Rich Miano is a former football defensive back who played 10 seasons for three different teams in the National Football League (NFL). He has served as executive director of the Hula Bowl, a college football all-star game, since it was revived in 2020. He has accomplished many things in Hawaii in the football world, with first being the ex interim head coach at the University of Hawaii. He is also the DOF of the Polynesian bowl, he oversees Partner Aloha, and both Polynesian and Ohana Classics. He is also the director of the GPA football academy program.

I grew up in Kailua where I attended kalaheo high school until my sophomore more year and then moved to the east coast to attend ST. THOMAS MORE which was a boarding private school in Connecticut where I excelled in basketball. I then attended university of hawaii where I played 3 years for the men’s basketball team. I then signed as a free agent w the golden state warriors and after my rookie year went on to have a 12 year professional career in Europe. I retired 4 years ago and fell directly into acting where I have since then trying to get off the ground.

Brad Kalilimoku is a former University of Hawaii football player turned actor. He is a Roosevelt High School Alum and played football there as well. He has been an actor since 2015 after friends and family convinced him to give it a shot. He has done work for numerous commercials and shows like Hawaii 5-0 here in Hawaii. He is mostly known for his work in Netflix’s Finding ‘Ohana. Currently Brad continues to pursue and further his acting career with many things coming up and “in the works.” Playing more roles that highlights Hawaii’s culture, people, and language is what he hopes for.

Davone Bess is a former University of Hawaii and NFL’s Miami Dolphins football player. After his rookie season in the NFL, he had the second most catches in NFL history as an undrafted free agent. Interactions with Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Sidney Crosby, Alex Ovechkin, David Ortiz raised his profile and helped to change perceptions of these incredible competitors. Covering the Stanley Cup Finals with a poncho and goggles was a unique perspective on Canada’s national sport.   

At Sportsnet (2002-2005), Richards hosted and produced two weekly half hour magazine shows “NBAXL” and “JZone” which covered the NBA and MLB with features and pop culture segments.   

Moving to TSN (2011-2019), his interviews segment “Cabbie Presents” appeared on Sportscentre where he fostered relationships with NFL stars including Aaron Rodgers and JJ Watt. Richards’ role grew in scope covering the ESPY Awards red carpet 2012-2019, multiple CFL Grey Cup Weekends, movie junkets and as a member of the broadcast team for the 2019 NBA Playoffs for the entire Toronto Raptors Championship run.
