When we look at something and say that it is sound what do we mean? Today, Pastor Eddie says that being sound means being hygienic or clean. What does that mean for the church? It means equipping your congregation with scripture. When you have scripture in your life, you’re able to live life the way Christ has called you to. He wants you to live a life like Christ did. The only way to do that is to know the word of God inside out and live it out.

This world will tell you that if you don’t agree with someone, you should distance yourself from them. Today, Pastor Eddie says that when we don’t live by the grace of the gospel it’ll weigh us down. We are to love one another as Christ loved us. If you disagree with someone, think of what Christ would do. He wouldn’t decide to distance Himself but He would lean in closer. Find peace in God today knowing that He’s a God who fixes brokenness.

Before Christ, we are all lost and in need of a savior. In today’s message, Pastor Eddie tells us of the miracle on the cross that made all of our sins forgiven. God sent His son so that we could be made free and redeemed through Him. When you believe in Jesus you are saved. It’s that simple! God loves you and wants you to live a life that’s redeemed through His son. Jesus is the only answer to your needs, He wants you to trust in Him.

Can we all agree that often this world feels like chaos? In today’s message, Pastor Eddie says that God is a God of order. He started the world with order and wants order. When you’re feeling lost and confused, remember that if you trust God with your life, you have assurance and hope in Christ. He alone can bring order to a lost and broken world. You have a hope, his name is Jesus. There will be a day when every knee bows at His name!

How do we become more Godly as humans? In today’s message, Pastor Eddie says the more we read scripture and understand who we are, the more Godly we’ll become. When you understand who Christ was and who God is, you’ll start to understand who you’re supposed to be. Without knowing God’s character there’s no baseline to how you’re supposed to act. Lean into scripture and learn of who God is so that you can live more like Christ.

When we become believers of Christ, why do we call ourselves servants? In today’s message, Pastor Eddie addresses why Paul calls himself a bondservant. In scripture, God says that if you’re the least, you will be looked at first in Heaven's kingdom. When you think of your life, are you serving others before yourself? Christ came down to serve and that should challenge you to serve more. Be selfless like Jesus was on the cross for you!

Sometimes when we start reading new books of the Bible it can be hard to find a theme to the book. Today, Pastor Eddie shares with us the theme of the book of Titus. Titus talks about how we should be living rightly as children of grace. As Christians, we should constantly live with the truth of scripture. Be reminded of the truth of the Gospel today, which is that God loved you so much that He gave His son so that if you believe you’ll be saved.

Have you ever tried to lose weight by just working out but not changing your diet, or maybe you just changed your diet but never worked out? You could not get the best results by doing one but not the other. As Pastor Eddie points out, prayer and the Bible are the same way, not only do you need to pray consistently, but you must also read your Bible consistently. You learn how to pray effectively by reading your Bible regularly.

Have you ever done something because someone else told you it would be helpful? You may not have believed it would help, but you went through the motions anyway. That is how some people approach praying. They don’t believe anything will happen, they have no faith. Today Pastor Eddie challenges you to believe God will hear when you pray and to have faith that prayers work. Otherwise, there is no sense in praying at all.

How often do you pray? Do you only pray when you need something? That’s how many people approach prayer. God is not a genie that will grant your every wish. As Pastor Eddie explains, seeking God will help you endure the struggles you encounter. If you continually seek the Lord, He may not remove the trouble altogether, but you will have the strength to push through so that you can accomplish God’s will not your own.
