It doesn’t require a degree or special training to share the Gospel. All too often, we make excuses to get out of this calling. Deep down we may be afraid of rejection, or maybe we’re genuinely afraid of just saying something wrong and misleading someone. As Pastor Eddie will explain in today’s message, those obstacles are all put in place by Satan. If you just simply tell people what God’s done in your life, that’s enough.

Preaching the Gospel isn’t just the job of the pastor. We’ve moved to a church culture where the pastor and Sunday morning worship service are at the center of so much of what we do. For many believers, it’s the only spiritual or Gospel-related thing in their lives. As Pastor Eddie will exhort us in today’s message, we shouldn’t be relying on one man behind the pulpit to share the Gospel – we need to be sharing it with our world.

Do you remember how much internal restlessness and distress you felt before you knew the Lord? All of humanity yearns to be at peace and have forgiveness of sin. As Pastor Eddie continues his teaching series, he'll be explaining how you can only have peace, if you first experience salvation by the grace of God. This is why Paul starts most of his letters with “grace and peace to you” because he knows you need grace first.

As Pastor Eddie begins his new teaching series through the book of 1 Thessalonians, he'll be exhorting you to live your life with the expectancy of the Lord's imminent return. The Apostle Paul wrote this letter to encourage the church, and to help them understand that there would be a Second Coming of the Lord. The Lord can return for His church at any moment, the question is, will you be ready for Him when He returns, or feel ashamed?

The Old Testament was filled with over 600 laws that the Israelites had to keep in order to be in “right standing” with God. When Jesus started His ministry He summarized the entire law into just two commandments. They were to “Love God” and “Love Others.” In today’s message, Pastor Eddie will be sharing how we are called to live by these two commandments. The Christian life is measured by how well they loved God and others.

Once we are saved, then the Bible says that we are referred to as ambassadors of Christ. That means wherever we go in this world we are representing Christ and His teachings. There should be a little weight to that call. In today’s message, Pastor Eddie will be sharing about living a life that is an example to unbelievers. Is the way we’re living our lives a good example to people who don’t know about Jesus? Are we living something that’s worth having?

As we continue to grow in our relationship with Jesus we will constantly be learning that He is enough. Sometimes we can try to keep one hand on the wheel and maintain some sort of control over our lives. This really comes down to pride because we think that we can do a better job of managing our lives than God. In today’s message, Pastor Eddie will be sharing about trusting God in every part of our life. Jesus is worthy of our trust!

When we read through the Old Testament and see all the requirements for the atonement of sins, we can appreciate Jesus’ sacrifice all the more! Jesus gave up everything so that we could have everything. Everything that we will ever need is found in Him. In today’s message, Pastor Eddie will be sharing how we can respond to this message. We are called to offer our entire lives as a living sacrifice to Jesus!

When a little kid starts playing baseball he is probably looking up to a player in the Major League. The kid sees how his favorite athlete plays and wishes that he could be like him! Inspiration is a powerful motivator! In a similar way, we can look at people who have been following Jesus for a long time, and be inspired to love Jesus like they do! In today’s message, Pastor Eddie is going to be sharing about being inspired by other people's walks with God!

Have you ever thought about the promises of God? Maybe someone in your life made a promise and they let you down. There’s betrayal and it can be hard to trust again. In today’s message, Pastor Eddie will be sharing about the perfect promises of God. There is no way for Him to be faithless. We know that God is a man of His word and will fulfill every single one of His promises. We just have to learn how to trust His word.
