Humility is crucial for all Christians. Whether you’re a new believer, full of passion for your newfound faith, or decades into a journey of faith that’s put you in a position of leadership in the Church, you’re vulnerable as long as you walk in the flesh. In today’s message, Pastor Eddie will encourage us to remain humble and acknowledge our need for accountability from our brothers and sisters and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

We’re so far removed from the religious system of the Old Testament that it’s hard to grasp the scope of what Jesus did on the cross. It took entire books to detail the complicated system needed to seek atonement through the blood of animals. And even then, it was all just symbolic. No one was actually saved by the blood of an innocent lamb. Today, Pastor Eddie will help us understand the incredible work that our High Priest Jesus accomplished.

Temptation is not a sin. It’s when you give in to those unholy desires to serve yourself that you’ve sinned against God. That can happen on a physical level, but it also happens on a mental and spiritual level. That’s where even the most faithful believers still falter. As Pastor Eddie will point out in today’s message, you can be extremely disciplined in following God’s law, but there will always be remnants of the sinful nature in your heart and mind in this life.

The uncertainty of life and even more so, death, plagues the lost in this world. Life is just as unpredictable for believers in Jesus and hardships come just as much, if not more, for those who follow Him, but we aren’t subject to the same fear. As Pastor Eddie will remind us in today’s message, we know that death is just a transition from brokenness to wholeness and glory in the presence of our Savior, and that gives us peace in this life.

The ways God works and the reasons He works are beyond our capacity to understand. At times He heals people in miraculous ways, while other times He seems to ignore the afflictions of His most faithful servants. While we may not understand with our limited perspective, even when He doesn’t answer our prayers exactly as we wish He would, Pastor Eddie will remind us today that we need to trust that God is good and His will is better than ours.

No human being is exempt from the temptation to sin. All of us have experienced the disappointment of finding out that one of our spiritual heroes has fallen into sin and sullied their reputation. All of us have fallen ourselves. The higher up you are on the ladder and the greater your responsibilities, the farther and harder that fall is. Today, Pastor Eddie will remind us not to place our trust in men and to extend grace when they stumble.

To believe something means to be sure that it is true! It is giving our trust and our hearts to something. In our relationship with Christ, belief may be the most critical aspect of it all. Why? Because if we do not BELIEVE, we do not have Jesus Christ in our lives. Today, Pastor Eddie will be talking to us about the dangers of unbelief. The Bible tells us that it is impossible to please God without belief; therefore, we must be aware of where our hearts and minds are with Him. Today’s message is one that we all need to hear.

If someone were to tell you that they could lift up an airplane with their pinky finger, you’d probably look at them like they’re crazy. However, if that same person said that and proceeded to do so in front of your very eyes, you would no longer doubt them. Now that’s a silly analogy, but today Pastor Eddie will talk about how even though the nation of Isreal saw God perform miracles right before their eyes, they still had disbelief. As Christians, we are to believe what God says even when we can’t see it.

You’ve heard it before and you’ll hear it again - TODAY - IS - THE DAY! It’s a verse out of a Psalm most of us are familiar with, but do we truly recognize the emphases that are put on the word, “Today?” Pastor Eddie is going to be reminding us in his message that we are not promised tomorrow. Being alive and hearing me right now is a miracle in itself. We must stand firm and really dive head-first into all that God has for us on this earth because our life here is just a glimpse of what is to come.

Think back if you can do a birthday party you had as a young child. Yes, people were there because it was your 4th birthday, but when they left they didn’t thank you; they thanked your parents! Why? Because they are the “master of the house” in this situation. Today, Pastor Eddie is going to be talking about a very similar concept on a much larger scale. Jesus Christ is the Master of our lives; therefore, He deserves all of the glory and honor. We are simply vessels that He chose to use for His Kingdom.
