Have you ever heard the saying, “Talk is cheap?” Pastor Eddie wants you to know, that, just saying I love you, isn't really love. Real love is shown by what you do. Real love, means making sure your brother's, or sister's needs are put ahead of your own. Selfishness has no place in love. If you love someone, as a Christian, you will love with the love of Christ. No greater love can one have than to lay down his life for his brother. Do you love with the love of Christ? Or a pretend love for personal gain.

Love is a consistent theme in the Scriptures. Today, Pastor Eddie wants you to remember that you are to love your brothers and sisters in Christ. Jesus said, in John Chapter Thirteen, “By this, all will know that you are my disciples if you have a love for one another.” Our love demonstrated to each other, is God's greatest evangelical tool. Most people want someone to genuinely love them. God is Love. And, if we love one another, as Christ loves us, who wouldn't want that?

If you saw a bottle with a skull and crossed bones on it, you probably wouldn't fill a drinking glass and take a big sip of its contents, would you? Pastor Eddie is sounding the same alarm that the Apostle Paul sounded two thousand years ago. Just like that bottle with the warning label, they both are pleading with us to treat immorality like the deadly poison that it is. May God's Word resonate in our hearts today!

Have you ever used something that it wasn't intended for? Or have you ever tried to use something but your method was far from proper? Well, Pastor Eddie will explain today that we have the right purpose, and it's important that we follow the instructions of the one that created us. God can do beautiful things when we submit to his plan and humbly surrender to his well-trained hands.

Thinking of your relationship with Jesus as a walk is a great picture for us to hold onto. How we walk, where we walk, what we do along the walk, and who we walk with, are all factors in where we will end up. Pastor Eddie will be diving into 1 Thessalonians 4 today and will challenge us to walk alongside God and to live a life focused on pleasing Him. Jesus said that the greatest commandment was to love God with all our heart soul mind and strength and to love our neighbor as ourselves. When we fail to love our neighbor, we are sinning against God and our neighbor. Pastor Eddie will show us, our best attempts to fill the law will always fall short. It's not just hard to love, it's impossible! That's why we need God to live in us so that his love can work through us.
