It’s day 1711 of my run streak, and today I’m tackling a topic every runner faces at some point: Should you lace up when you’re under the weather? In this episode, I share my own experience running with a lurgy (that annoying cold or bug that won’t let go), and I’ll be honest – it’s not fun! I talk through why I pushed on (hint: my fundraising commitment!), the key signs you absolutely shouldn’t ignore (especially your heart rate), and what I’d recommend to anyone else – spoiler: don’t do it unless you really have to. I also explain what metrics to watch if circumstances force you out anyway, and when to draw the line for your body’s wellbeing.
