This week we have a special episode to mark the 102nd anniversary of the Limerick Soviet of April 1919, when workers of the city took on the British Empire.

We at Rupture Radio have decided to label our in-depth interviews as their own series under the name 'At The Roots'. Going forward interviews such as this will be displayed in your podcast feed as At The Roots 1 or 'ATR' for short.
For our inaugural episode we were delighted to welcome ecosocialist author and lecturer Andreas Malm who has written many great books including 'Fossil Capital', 'Climate, Corona, Chronic Emergency', and 'How to Blow Up a Pipeline.'
Andreas sat down with us to discuss the topics covered in his last two books including the similar origins of the Coronavirus pandemic and the environmental crisis, the need for socialist solutions to these issues, and the strategic questions facing the international environmental movement.
