You might be a people-pleaser too… let’s drop the heavy weight of people-pleasing and teach our children a new way of being. A lot of us were raised in homes where “big” emotions were shunned. If you felt sad, mad, angry… that was a problem. Children should be happy. Children should be seen and not heard. Anything beyond that was just not okay. The problem is that when we view emotions as problems to be solved, we have trouble allowing them, and allowing emotions is a key aspect to a healthy and fulfilling life.
