Learning is circular… every turn around we learn something newer or deeper… life is a series of learning the same lessons over and over again, hopefully to more depth (or with a slightly different flavour)… thus we welcome our triggers, and know that there is a gift in them. As we “encounter”, or “meet with the adversary” we can grow, learn, and change who we are… finding more congruence in our being, lives, and relationships.

You have an awesome kid!! Truly. Once you see that, and fully believe it, it’ll change everything. If we want to raise kids who are emotionally intelligent, self-trusting and resilient… one thing is clear: we can’t just show them how to distract themselves from discomfort, which is what we see so often in the world. We must teach them how to be with their discomfort, deeply… and learn and grow from it.

Did you know that years ago our mouths were big enough to fit wisdom teeth comfortably? And that jaw growth has decreased significantly over the last 100 years? You’ll be surprised to hear how jaw growth, mouth-breathing and behaviour in kids (including ADHD-like symptoms) are all interconnected. 

Today we chat with Dr. Ben Miraglia, a graduate of SUNY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and the United States Dental Institute, who has been in private practice for over 20 years.
