In this series opener, presenter Tom Barrow pays a visit to his home town of Northwich in Cheshire and investigates some of the strange and rather scary goings-on at his local Wetherspoons pub; The Penny Black.

This grand 19th century black & white timbered building has gathered a certain reputation amongst the townsfolk, with rumours abound that this former post office is very haunted indeed.

Throughout this investigation staff members come forward and recall their first-hand terrifying experiences, including the reveal of a highly unconventional haunted location within the pub …. the women’s toilets!

This episode features the help and expertise of psychic medium Jackie Dennison (Rescue Mediums), sceptic Tom Paech and resident historian Eli Lycett.
