In this third and final installment of our interview series with two time national champion as a player at UVA and inductee of the NILCA Hall of Fame from St Anne's Belfield in Charlottesville, VA,  Doug Tarring, we discover a strong connection that Coach Tarring has with our co-host's alma mater, Brown University. It turns out the Coach's step brother not only went to Brown but played lacrosse and was good friends with Dom Starsia and their teammates back in the day. 

Coach Tarring tells us what he had imagined lacrosse would look like today back when he first started coaching High School lacrosse in 1973 and we don't want to spoil it for you but let's just say the sport has exceeded expectations. He also explains what he sees as working well today in the sport as well as some areas that could improve. 

He also recounts some of his best players and their shared memories over the years while coaching at STAB and we all wonder if he sort of wished he hadn't retired before Connor Shellenberger, a STAB alum, came along.  

Coach Tarring also describes what he believes can be an up and coming player's edge over the competition. We know you'll enjoy listening to the sage advice he shares. There's "a lot of meat on this bone" of an episode...dig in and let us know what you think!
