With the recent record-breaking temperatures and all the news reports around the problems that have been happening due to the hot weather, for this week’s check-in with Elizabeth Roddick from New Life Pharmacy in Glasgow, we thought it would be good to find out how best to keep cool in a heatwave and what to do if we or someone we know is suffering from heat stroke.

Elizabeth began by telling our Toby Davey about what the signs are that we need to look out for if someone gets into trouble from the hot weather such as suffering with heat stroke.

Elizabeth then explained to Toby about how hot weather and heat waves can affect people more depending on their age, such as the very young and those in older age groups.

Finally Elizabeth shared her top tips on what we should all be doing to keep cool and cope with the current and future heatwaves.
