S1 Ep1717: Vital Health Information Is Still Not Accessible After Years Of Campaigning

Listen Later

Despite UK laws like the Disability Discrimination Act and the Equalities Act, many blind and partially sighted people are still receiving vital health information in formats they can’t read.

The Accessible Health Information Standard has only had a very limited impact since it’s inception in 2016, leading to further frustration.

RNIB Connect Radio’s Allan Russell spoke to Khadija Rasa, from RNIB, to find out what the issues are and how a new drive aims to improve the situation.

If you’d like to feedback on your accessible information experience, good or bad, please contact RNIB on 0303 123 9999 or go to www.rnib.org.uk/myinfomyway
