Jason Dasent is a blind music producer with over 20 years in the business, originally from Trinidad and now living in London. .

Jason recently pulled together key players from the music production industry including people from Avid the makers of Pro Tools the industry standard digital audio workstation, native Instruments who produce electronic instruments, keyboards and interfaces as well as a number of other industry key players for an online conference ’Normalising the Conversation’ all about accessibility in the music industry for blind and disabled music producers, musicians, songwriters, etc.

RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey caught up with Jason to find out how he got into music and music producing, why he put together the  online conference ’Normalising the Conversation’, how accessible the music industry is for someone who is blind who wants to forge a career in the industry and his top tips on getting started in recording your own music.
