1988 through to 1990 was an interesting time in Melbourne Radio with many 3AW personalities and 3AK personalities crossing from one station to another.
3AK's bold CBC experiment had failed, as had 3AW's Thinking Person's Radio.
In 1990 Denis O'Kane had taken over the reins of 3AW and initiated the rebuild, in part by taking Ross Stevenson, Dennis Donoghue, Keith McGowan and Margaret Fletcher from 3AK. 3AK in turn finally was sold off and in mid 1990 all remaining staff were all given their marching orders. This is the first 11 minutes of the last Rob Hicks and Don Chipp program.
