In his second term as President, Donald Trump has shepherded forward many policies that are epically beneficial for the nation and its people, but how you get somewhere is often as important (if not more important) than if you get there at all, and the ends don't always justify the means.
The pendulum always swings back the other way eventually, so pragmatism in setting precedent should be a prime consideration when proposing policy, especially policies related to:
- Governmental ownership in private companies (Intel)
- Threats to remove federal operating licenses (ABC and NBC's FCC licenses)
- Military deployment to cities (LA, DC, and beyond)
- Executive orders & regulations/rules instead of laws passed by congress (Voter ID & paper ballots)
- Prosecution for flag burning beyond existing law
