As the sounds of crickets filled the warm and dry night air, I uncomfortably tossed and turn in bed. Was it the warmth that kept me awake or was it the fact Rwanda was again on a knife edge?

       The Two main tribes in our country have been at each other's throats for decades and I  couldn’t help but feel the palpable tension blanketing the capital Kigali.

                Surely the violence that plagued the country in 1990 couldn’t return, surely the ceasefire  signed by President Habyarimana

Would hold. But as my eyes became heavy and I drift off to sleep, I remember seeing the calendar on the wall, tomorrow was the 6th of April 1994 the day our country plummets into the depths of hell for 100 days.
