Well that was a piece of news came out of nowhere for the Kings. 2 separate European reporters over weekend broke the news that Sasha Vezenkov may be done with the Kings. They differed on the details but they both end on Vezenkov likely not being a King this upcoming season.

Meanwhile down south in the City of Angels, the Lakers went through a wild week where it was originally reported that they were likely going with JJ Reddick as their next head coach. Until he wasn't and that Dan Hurley was going to be their guy. And then ... he wasn't and he was returning to UConn. Good riddance ...

After a long week of no NBA games, game 1 of the 2024 NBA Finals took place and ... it was a bit uneventful. Celtics took a big lead early, the Mavs stormed back but then the Celtics regathered and crushed the Mavs going away. The Celtics proved to be who they have been this whole season, let's see if the Mavs can make some adjustments and win the next game.

In other news that happened during the week, Chennedy Carter's foul on Caitlin Clark caused an uproar in the sports community. And Niners minicamp gets off to a rocky start as Brandon Aiyuk did not attend.

Well, it's done. After going through a tumultuous week leaks and speculation, the Kings reached an agreement with Mike Brown on a 3-year extension that keeps him as the Kings head coach through the 2026-27 season. We may have gotten more than we bargained for with seeing how the contract negotiation sausage is made, but what's important is that an extension was reached and we don't have to worry about the Kings Kangzing this one.
