The Sacramento Fire Department responded to a vegetation fire around the 4800 block of 47th Avenue around 230 PM. Initial reports indicated a vegetation fire with a moderate rate of speed that threatened a nearby gas station church and apartment complex. Ten to twelve vehicles were also on fire as the fire department worked to protect the nearby apartment complex. Around an hour after the first response fire crews on scene determined the fire to be under control and entered the mop up stage.
