Our guest on the podcast this week is Simon Severino, CEO of Strategy Sprints and Host of the Strategy Sprints podcast. He has interviewed powerhouse entrepreneurs like Rita McGrath, David Allen, Nir Eyal, Perry Marshall, Verne Harnish, Brian Kurtz, and hundreds more on business, productivity, and growth. He helps business owners in SaaS and Services run their companies more effectively which results in sales that soar. He created the Strategy Sprints™ Method that doubles revenue in 90 days by getting owners out of the weeds. Simon leads a global team of Certified Strategy Sprints™ Coaches that help clients gain market share and work in weekly sprints which results in fast execution. His team is trusted by Google, Consilience Ventures, Roche, Amgen, AbbVie, and hundreds of frontier teams. He is a TEDx speaker and has appeared on over 500 podcasts. He writes for Forbes and Entrepreneur Magazine about scaling digital businesses.
Today Simon talks about his passion for ‘aliveness’ in business, how important our energy is to how we show up to our work, and how creating sacred space is the key to winning teams. As he says, twenty years ago he fell in love with business, how we can start and enter the market, and how to win in business, whatever your interpretation of that is. Although he is undoubtedly a systems guy, he talks freely about energy and the frequency of potential and vibration - how a business needs to inspire people to feel more alive and how his simple methods get incredible results for his clients.
Listen in as Simon shares some important yet simple perspectives on how you as a changemaker can fulfill your potential in business while also enjoying the journey and having a life. We discuss the ‘sacred’ and how the best performing teams create sacred space, how words have energy, and the potential to shift people’s mindsets when you use the correct ways to connect to people’s emotions. And I loved it when Simon took a stand against using words like “leads’ as he says they are not leads they are interested people so don’t dehumanize them in your copy or approach.
If you would like some tangible insights about how you can get better at business in ways that will make you feel alive, then I think you will gain some great insights from Simon that will inspire you to perhaps think a little differently about your current approach. I suspect you’ll enjoy Simon's unique perspective on the energetic exchange of business and the truth and freedom that is just waiting for you to claim it. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did.

“Most people have a very complicated approach to business and we keep it simple and direct. It’s based on 2 very simple things, truth, and freedom. There are just 3 numbers to track, 3 goals, and maximum freedom in how people get there. It’s not that hard.” —Simon Severino

Our guest on the podcast this week is Tony Bonney, an Australian who has an interesting background that has led him to do truly valuable change-making work in the world. He began his working life as a rock and roll agent and concert promoter, and over time found his way to becoming the strategic mind behind customer engagement for global brands. I think it’s true to say that Tony has always been exploring what creates lasting, sustainable connections. This led Tony to create Grow On Purpose. Grow helps leaders and organizations to understand what makes their best version of themselves so great, and how to bring it into the experiences of their teams and customers; creating lasting differentiation.
Today Tony models his version of life with a passion that you can feel as he talks. He shares his own life journey from rock and roll agent to event organizer to reimagining business with his clients, from both an individual and systemic perspective. As he says he hasn’t wanted to tread the well-worn path in life, and chose instead to live according to the beat of his own drum. As a rock and roll agent, he asked himself, what makes fans fall in love with this band and not that one? What’s the alchemy of things that goes on? This inquiry led to him experimenting to see what worked and through this, he began developing a purpose-led way for the organizations he worked for.
Listen in as Tony talks us through how we can find our own version and begin to live into it in aligned ways and in doing so we shift into becoming more aware and conscious. We discuss the importance of safety, the impetus of dissatisfaction, and how self-determination lies at the very core of successful change. How breaking things down into simple manageable terms, with the intention of just a 1% change that will compound over time is actually the best way to evolve. We talked through the tensions of our times, the importance of context, and what we can do if we find ourselves in a place we didn’t intend to be. So many insights!
If you are feeling some tension within, maybe you are a leader, consultant, or work within organizational life, then I think you will gain some great insights from Tony that will inspire you to embrace different perspectives. You can begin your own inquiry to create capability and human connection in your life and the lives of others around you. I suspect you’ll enjoy Tony's perspective on the simple things we can do to bring more of yourself to work. I suspect you will enjoy this conversation as much as I did.

Our guest on the podcast today is Rennie Gabriel, who after two divorces and a business failure Rennie went from broke at age 50 to multi-millionaire after learning the three secrets of the wealthy (despite failing high school math). He now donates 100% of the profits from his online programs to rescue dogs and veteran soldiers. His award-winning, best-selling book, Wealth On Any Income has been translated into eight languages around the world.
Today Rennie speaks with ease about his own experiences around money, how he didn’t truly understand how money works until he was in his 50s and how everything changed when he began to do things differently. We discuss the challenges many of us face, the subconscious biases, and pervasive beliefs that emerge as a consequence of us never being taught how to handle money in any practical or powerful way. And how it’s never too late to begin to build the foundations of your wealth.
Listen in as Renee shares how we are programmed to believe it’s better to be poor than to be wealthy, and how the subtle messages that emerge from our societal structures keep us stuck in an employee mindset, limiting our money flow and the choices we have access to. Until we’re awake to those messages we continue to struggle and can’t make decisions for ourselves. We discussed how money is intrinsically linked to our identity, our sense of self-worth, and power making it a challenging topic for us to be in relationship with. So incredibly inspiring!
If you get the sense that you want to create a better relationship with money, create a powerful foundation for wealth, and just feel better around the money conversation then I encourage you to listen to this informative dialogue for insights. I suspect you’ll enjoy Renee's perspective on what we can do to create wealth on any income. I know you’ll enjoy this conversation as much as I did.

Our guest on the podcast this week is Yanik Silver, he has been called a Cosmic Catalyst, a Maverick Mischief-maker, and a Galactic Goofball. He redefines how business is played in the 21st century at the intersection of evolutionary growth, impact, and fun. Yanik is the creator of the Cosmic Journal, author of Evolved Enterprise, and the founder of Maverick1000, a global collective of visionary entrepreneurs making a serious difference in the world, without taking themselves too seriously. In fact, it’s not unusual to find him dressed as a lemur, a showgirl, or even in matching mermaid tails with Sir Richard Branson.
In our conversation today you’re going to hear us talking about life and business and everything in-between, so get a notepad because you’re going to want to take notes. Yanik shares so many insights that have helped him along his own life path, how his family are immigrants, his entrepreneurial childhood, and how these life experiences have shaped him into the person he is today. Someone who is inspiring evolved enterprises, working with visionary entrepreneurs, and making a real and massive impact in our world.
Listen in as Yanik shares his own experience of shifting his business sideways, to fulfill his own destiny and the challenges that emerged for him at that inflection point. How we are all destined for greatness, and how we are ‘called’ to listen deeply within as we begin to place our trust in life and move towards creating a business that is more in harmony with what we truly want. His advice is invaluable, from the fear monster “ every time you compare, you make yourself feel less than”, to synchronicities, the seismic shifts underway in business, and the creative dialogues he captures inside his journal, written with his non-dominant hand. So incredibly inspiring!
If you get the sense that you too have a destiny, and perhaps you’re not living into that in a fully expressed way, or maybe you simply don’t know how to move your life in a new direction, then I encourage you to listen to this deeply resonant dialogue for insights. I suspect you’ll enjoy Yanik's perspective on fulfilling your destiny as a cosmic changemaker as much as I did.

Our guest on the podcast this week is David Henzel, CEO of Upcoach and a veteran entrepreneur who has been building in the SAAS and e-com space for over 20 years. He has had multiple successful exits, including MaxCDN.
Aside from Upcoach (which just happens to be my favorite coaching platform), he has a small portfolio of companies including LTV plus, (Outsourcing for e-commerce & SAAS), TaskDrive (Sales Development), Shortlist.io (Digital Marketing Agency), and his passion project Managing Happiness (Peak Performance Group Coaching for entrepreneurs). And as you will hear us talk about today, his latest idea of bringing love not fear to the marketplace to empower us all to remember what matters most. He also speaks to the personal traumas that became pivot points of reflection for what mattered most to him, shifting his perspective and guiding him on different paths.
Listen in as David shares the personal stories of how his mantra of love, not fear has inspired so many people in his world helping them to feel empowered and building a culture of love, deeply embedding this powerful energy within the cultures of his companies. It may be a bumper sticker slogan, but it is profound in its simplicity which might just allow David to help us all to remember that sometimes the most profound changes are small, yet if enough of us engage then the ripple effect can be what changes the world. So incredibly inspiring!
