Sacred Comedy

Karen Rontowski pioneered Psychic Standup with her standup comedy + tarot-reading performances all over the country. A tarot master and teacher, she hosts the long-running podcast “Paranormal Karen.” Ryan Singer is a standup comedian, filmmaker, author, actor and the host of another long-running podcast “Me and the Paranormal You.”  I was lucky enough to get these close friends together for a whopper of an episode! The conversation starts off with water receptacle and drinking issues, but smooth sailing brings us to our topic of how Karen and Ryan first met, and what originally got them interested in the supernatural. We talk about first experiences with psychic phenomena, and christian upbringings. Ryan shares a bit about his recent paranormal investigation trip, and we touch on setting boundaries + intentions when communicating with the realm beyond the veil. This and much more!

Today we bring together standup comedian, writer and host Ophira Eisenberg and comedian and psychic medium Nelly Reznik for a psychic reading that answers the age old question, what exactly ARE vibes? Join us as we explore some of the reasons why people get psychic readings, and why Ophira doesn’t particularly want to talk to anyone on the other side! Watch as Nelly connects and brings through poignant messages in this personal, honest, and pretty hilarious episode. You’ll get a better understanding of how spirit works and why there are usually connection points between what someone needs to hear, and what messages happen to come through at that time. It’s all related! (They are called relatives for a reason ;)

Today we welcome comedian Keegan Tindall and tarot maven/writer/somatic therapist Lyssa Mandel! We're all hyped up on caffeine and talk a(lot) about food. Tarot cards fly while we talk about coping mechanisms, therapists who don’t help, childhood trauma, and scary movies...all fun stuff! Jen leads a very simple exercise to get your body into alignment, and Lyssa shares some expert tips for dealing with anxiety. Keegan gets very scared by the devil card. Thank you for paying attention and please rate, review and subscribe wherever you are listening or watching. We appreciate you!

Today’s episode brings back astrologer Elise Edwards reading comedian Devon Hall’s natal chart. Hilarity ensues as Elise attempts to explain why Devon is gay. Just kidding sort of.  We review some astrology basics, explore the houses, and find out what the ascendant means in karmic astrology (past lives anyone??) Listen in especially if you’re a Taurus Sun, Sagittarius Moon or Libra Rising! Devon is a great sport throughout even when while we pummel him with too much information about the nodal axes. Watch until the end for our deep dive into Eros!

Today’s guests comedian Dara Jemmott and astrologer+comedian Elise Edwards bless us with a reading of Dara’s birth chart! If you’re a Sagittarius Sun, Virgo Ascendant, or Aquarius Moon, you will definitely hear some useful information along with a primer on astrology basics. We talk about the writing process, the challenges of socializing after covid, past lives and why mercury in retrograde feels scary! Join us to hear about age of Aquarius vibes and the future of humanity. nbd.

*Also, here is a little more on interceptions; some was edited out: When a sign that a planet rules is intercepted in a natal chart, it means that the planet's natural energy and expression may be more challenging to access or manifest in the individual's life. This can indicate a need for conscious effort to integrate the qualities associated with that planet and its ruling sign.
