In this episode, we’re joined by Gracin Johnson to talk about the beauty, difficulty, and importance of confession in Christian community. We unpack what confession looks like, why we should practice it, and how to find people who are safe and trustworthy enough to invite into the messier parts of our lives.

Gracin takes us to the Old Testament and we discuss how openly Scripture displays both the reality of sin and the redemption God brings from it. When we’re willing to share not only where we’ve sinned, but how God has redeemed us, our testimonies become a picture of the Gospel for the people around us.

Confession isn’t always comfortable, and it isn’t always received the way we hope. But we are called to confess, to walk honestly with one another, and to pursue the healing that comes through bringing sin into the light. When we do, we get to see God’s forgiveness and redemption displayed through His people and point one another back to Christ and the beauty of the Gospel.
