A local female Realtor® met a potential client at a semi-secluded property for a home showing. This client made an eerie confession to her, causing her to fear for her safety and involve the police.  

Today on Safe Realty we will talk all about home showing safety for real estate agents.  I will share 3 things every real estate agent must consider before showing a home.

What happens when you are with a client, as a real estate agent, and find yourself in dangerous situation, but unable to speak. How do you tell the 911 operator how to help you? Find out today.

As a real estate agent in an emergency, what do we do? When do we call 911? And if we call 911 what happens next?  We also talk about what constitutes an emergency (not your dinner reservations that are cancelled), how to handle accidental calls, and the technology used in dispatching. Carolyn shares humorous anecdotes from her years of experience, emphasizing the human side of dispatching and the need for patience and kindness during emergencies.

Roger the stalker'ish.
In this episode, I’m sharing a story about "Roger" - a client who became mildly obsessed with me during our interactions of me helping him buy a new home.

Welcome to Safe Realty!

Join Shannon Cutler, a former police investigator, now real estate agent, as she goes behind the scenes into the dark side of real estate - where the danger lies.

Soon after starting real estate two agents in the office disclosed they were being followed by the same man at their open houses. They didn’t know how to handle the situation.  Another local agent had to call the police after encountering an irate tenant during a showing. Most recently, an agent in Ontario was murdered during the showing of a rural property.   These are just a few stories, of the many, that come up on a regular basis.  All of that preempted the start of talking about all things realtor® safety. 

Since 2018 Shannon has trained hundreds of Realtors® in real estate safety.  Now it is your turn to join us.
