India is just emerging from two months of hell brought on by the second wave of the Coronavirus. There has been a full on campaign to personalize this great tragedy and gaslight people into blaming Modi for the devastation they see in their lives. 

In less partisan times an honest introspection would have been welcomed and would have seen people setting aside their political biases to engage in a fruitful dissection of what went wrong based on facts, scientific evidence and a realistic appraisal of the policy choices leaders faced and the capacity of the government to react swiftly to events.

However we do not live in that kind of an environment. So this episode attempts to evaluate the choices PM Modi face and why he took some of the decisions he did.
