We start the second season with a good friend and mompreneur, Cy Sazon, who shares her postpartum depression/experience after her most recent pregnancy in 2020 during the COVID19 pandemic. She recalls reaching the point of being unable to look at herself in the mirror and feeling “disgusted.” But all it took was an inner shift (and of course, huge support from her husband and family) to choose a positive mindset telling herself that “her kids deserved a happy, strong mom.” Having identified at an early age that being a good mother and wife was how she wanted to be remembered and already a dream in itself, this urged her to get up in the morning and dedicate time for herself, to commit to being her best self one day at a time. She advises to listen to our bodies - what to eat, when to rest - and to be more intentional with what we do. Most importantly, she emphasizes how it’s definitely okay for us to ask for help and never to be ashamed or afraid of it.
We just want to thank you for being with us on the first season of Sage Conversations and we hope you've learned a lot like we did! Stay tuned for more episodes - if there's a topic you'd like to be covered, we'd like to know and we hope to have it on the podcast! We'll see you back with new weekly episodes starting April 6, 2021!
Join Michiko and Roanna as they highlight the key learnings from the past episodes we have had so far on Sage Conversations. If you are just joining us or if you’ve been with us since the beginning, you may want to hear what the two hosts have picked up from the special guests and their own stories. We have definitely seen a common thread in most about “self-awareness being the key to wellness!”
This ends the first season of the Sage Conversations Podcast. Our team will be taking a quick break, and will be back with new weekly episodes starting April 6, 2021!
What does it mean to invest in yourself? Reiki practitioner, Meditation and Yoga Teacher, and Intuitive Reader Mara Andres says to “embrace what you deserve and you [will] attract what is for you. Everything that you’re doing is not a waste.”
Mara shares the stage with us also as the third partner behind Sage Conversations, and in this episode, she talks about what it has meant for her to invest in herself, and thus touching on all other questions that we may have all had at some point in our lives. She reminds us that we are all different, so our soul banks are, too. Recognize what your currency is - what makes you happy and fulfilled? - and it’s up to us to define it.

From self-awareness, self-love, to self-mastery, we invite you to join us on this episode with Life and Corporate Coach KimiLu, who took her “quantum leap” in her early 20s by taking up life coaching which has been her chosen path since then. Today, she holds “sacred space” or development programs for individuals, teams, and companies - guiding them in defining the “why to their why - why does one want world peace? Perhaps one wants to have inner peace?” As a life coach, she shares that she herself has one, and that has always helped her inch closer each time to her own purpose - which is helping others “in their journey towards more positivity and confidence!”

Join us on this episode with Lesley Geronimo, Life Mentor and Healing Specialist, who shares about how “the mastery of life is the mastery of basics,” which is the essence of the mastery of self. She gives quite a unique and easy-to-understand definition of it as well, tapping the different phases: our search for success, for life balance, and for a higher purpose or meaning.
She shares about her own feeling of “meaninglessness” at some point that prompted her on her own search - this psychospiritual condition that her mentor Master Del Pe calls the Dark Night of the Soul syndrome which is most often felt when our soul tries to send a message to prompt us to take the next step or leap in our own Divine Timing towards development and enlightenment.
We explore finding the balance between yearning for growth and contentment, the practice of detachment, and always asking “what lesson am I supposed to learn here?” Lesley gives us a few tools and guidance through a Synchronized Breathing Meditation that we can use anytime of the day to keep our centers in check!
“At any point of your journey, you’ll attract the energetic equivalent of yourself.” Sanaiyah Gurnamal, Life Designer and ThirdEye Wellness Founder and CEO, joins us in this exciting and intriguing episode where she unravels the different types of soulmate relationships. We find that even just knowing these would help us to understand our situations better - which patterns to break, which ways can we keep doing? Through her own journey, she helps us understand more about timing, patterns, “pre-requisites” and finally, also shares a simple “formula” for manifesting one’s Most Compatible Divine Life Partner Soulmate. It’s “very simple” - and you may already have a clue by following her podcast, too:
Join us in this episode with Ea Torrado, founder and facilitator of Daloy Movement, “a movement meditation practice that could also be healing, transformative, and spiritual.” She shares with us her path to this calling that she believes could be the Filipino form of healing similar to “hilot.” Through her story, we learn that body acceptance is a lot about accepting this vessel for what it is, trusting in its wisdom, and breaking free from what we think it should be. In doing so, we transcend - as moving is what we naturally do.

With the intention to build a Sage Conversations community and a level of closeness with our listeners, hosts Michiko and Roanna wanted to explore a different format where they get to share more about themselves. Inspired by the study of psychologists, Drs. Arthur and Elaine Aron, they go through a set of the 36 Questions for Increasing Closeness (also known as the “Questions that Lead to Love”). They recognize how this exercise has brought certain things out to light that they might not have thought of or said out loud had they not been posed these questions. We hope that this episode inspires you to sit down and take time as well to get to know yourself, a loved one, or a total stranger and let yourself be open and vulnerable.
We have a chat with Victoria Herrera, Marketing Head of Filipino livestreaming app Kumu and Founder of consulting company Next Theory, who tells us about her early path as a newly International Certified Life Coach. She reminds us about finding the beauty in the process of our chosen paths - hers in particular started out with her seeing life coaches who helped her through major turning points and realizations. While she starts this new chapter as one, she acknowledges that there will always be constant self-exploration, the lessons on having to put our own egos in check, setting boundaries, and always giving the client the love, guidance, and safe space that they deserve. This episode makes us think about our own paths, how we got here, to “sit with [ourselves], and just be.”
