  • Ep5 Joe Villafranca on Slow Living as a Way to Cope with Anxiety

In this episode, Joe Villafranca bravely shares with us her own experience in facing her anxiety disorder and the multiple efforts that have helped her and continue to help her overcome it. While we learn about the different ways of addressing it, the most important thing to remember is to be kind to ourselves. She emphasizes how important it is first to acknowledge where we are, to understand what it is we’re going through, and to not be stubborn about seeking proper help. Presently a co-founder and business owner of Slow Co, a plant shop that advocates for slow living, she reminds us to appreciate the beautiful process of healing and the transcendent experience we could have by nurturing and “growing with” our fellow living things.

  • Ep3 Demystifying the Age of Aquarius with Monica Lopez Gamboa

During this time when Jupiter overtakes Saturn in its path around the sun in what is called the Great Conjunction - we are excited to share an episode with Monica Gamboa, also known as Monch the Mystic - a professional Filipino astrologer, certified yoga teacher, and the practitioner of drama therapy. She shares how there is the shift from Capricorn to the new age of Aquarius - or from a conjunct on earth, we move to a conjunct in air. What does that mean and how can that help us in our day-to-day lives?

Monica helps us understand further what all these are all about through the use of astrology and how we may be able to further own our purpose and power. Join us in a year-end episode that reminds us about the importance of listening and observing what is around us and within us.

  • Ep2 Roanna Medina on Vulnerability and Compassion as Ingredients to a Healthy & Sustainable Lifestyle

Sage Conversations holds a special episode where we have our co-host Roanna Medina, an Integrative Nutrition and Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach, and founder of Humble Market, a bulk and online store for sustainable living essentials. She shares about the turning point in her life when she said “enough was enough,” and finally followed a healthier path to addressing and overcoming the root cause of her autoimmune disease. Through Roanna’s journey, we discover the importance of listening to our body and acknowledging and understanding our genetic health history, yet not letting that serve as a hindrance to creating better health. As an advocate for sustainable living, she points out the interconnectedness between our own physical health and what we do with our environment, and the impact of one on the other. While steadfast in this path, she encourages us to approach the steps to wellness with kindness and to suspend all sorts of judgment - whether that means on ourselves and on others.

    • Ep1 Unpack your Brief-Case: The Wellness Journey with Gisa Paredes & April Ong Vaño

For this first episode of Sage Conversations, we reached out to psychologist and Healing Minds Founder Gisa Paredes and Collabox founder April Ong Vaño, having a similar mission as our podcast and with their recent project My Soul Brief-Case that aims to empower the inner healer within.

Gisa and April share with us what led them to this tool - a brief-case - as it is meant to be utilized even in our daily encounters whether internal or external, as individuals or even used in groups - in order to help us dig and dig deep. We learn from them that the step to wellness is self-awareness - which can especially be daunting, but they remind us that we can attain this by taking time to connect and listen - to our body, our mind, and our soul.

Where do we start? How do we start? How do we avoid spiraling down? Their collaboration in a physical box contains cards with images and sentence stems which are meant to help discover ourselves.

It’s a must for all of us to develop our self-awareness, so that we may understand our changing values, our strengths and weaknesses, what makes us tick, and where we would focus our energy on. Having high self-awareness enables us to build on our positive qualities and let go of traits and beliefs that no longer serve us. Self-aware people make conscious decisions that effectively enhance their lives whenever possible, learning from past and current experiences.

Tune into this conversation where April and Giza share their expertise to remind and teach us the art of unpacking and connecting with your inner healer.
