Dive into Jesus’ powerful parables from Luke 15-16, exploring what it means to be both sinners and saints. Through the stories of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the prodigal son, we see the heart of God—one that seeks, rescues, and rejoices over the lost who are found.
Explore the profound teachings of Jesus regarding being the "salt of the earth" and the "light of the world," as found in Matthew 5:13-16 and Luke 14. These metaphors challenge us to examine the authenticity and purity of our faith.
Salt, in the first century, was not just a seasoning but a vital preservative, symbolizing the preservation of faith and hope. However, salt can lose its effectiveness through dilution or contamination, just as our faith can be weakened by worldly influences and traditions that distract us from God's purpose.
Matt Shamp shares a great message on intentional discipleship, standing for Jesus, and fully trusting Him with our lives. Jesus take the wheel!
When Jesus would have entered Martha's home, He would've entered with peace. That He entered and remained implies that Martha was a woman of peace, accepting His peace. But she quickly became distracted by tasks, producing striving, accusations, anxiety, and anger. As disciples, what we do, we do with Jesus and for Jesus. There's hope, though. God restored Martha, He didn't abandon her. He does the same for us.
Jesus calls each of us to be disciples; to follow Him with abandon, sharing news of the kingdom of God. As disciples, we're presented with a choice. Will we be common disciples of culture and ritual, or radical disciples of Christ and redemption?
Jesus instructs us to pick up our cross daily. This is more than light burdens, but is dying to ourselves to His glory, revealing hope in life eternal. Join Garren Holt as he rounds out our series of messages through Jesus' ministry around Galilee.
Through the lens of Luke 7:36-50, be challenged to consider how different our world would be if Christians would confront our indifference to the love of God; if we'd just confront our concerns wielding faith, hope, love, and humility rather than pride, selfishness, fear, and indifference.
Jesus began his ministry around Galilee following his time in the wilderness being tempted by Satan. There, Satan challenged Jesus as the Son of God. Jesus stood the test, placing confident hope in the Father. We, too, can have confident hope because Jesus is who he says he is.
Jesus was resolved to spend time in His Father's house. His parents resolved to find Him. Are you resolved to search for Jesus in His Father's house?
The shepherds proclaimed wonder of the promise revealed to them by the heavenly host. We're called to do the same. Go. Tell it on the mountain.
