Chris, Travis, Gardner and Truckie B kick off the second hour asking folks if they agree with the societal norm declaring cargo shorts a blight on our culture. Is standing in a parking spot to save it for someone else #FairOrFoul? “Call of the Game” features a three-run go-ahead homer from Cardinals first baseman Matt Adams which led to an 8-7 win over the Pirates. Travis is excited to see the “Rally Squirrel” make a return to the public eye after roughly seven years away. The “Saint Louis Live!” cast opines on Cards pitcher Adam Wainwright’s return to the mound with an up-and-down start. Gardner plays an auto-tune rap he created called “Waino No Bueno.” Chris and Travis break down Mound City native Tyron Woodley’s big UFC win this past Saturday. Jeff Jones, “SLL!” correspondent, drops by to discuss a number of Redbirds related topics.
Chris, Travis, Gardner and Truckie B carry over the Cardinals conversation with Jeff from the previous hour to commence the final segment of the program. Travis conducts a “Traview” of the NFL. Not surprisingly, TT “respects that ass.” Gardner wants to make sure people know Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll is a 9/11 truther. The squad remembers the stunning terrorist attacks that occurred 17 years ago today on 9/11/2001. Zafar the Horny Dolphin wins #FairOrFoul.
Mia Jackson was supposed to headline comedy at Lou Fest, instead, she'll help us resurrect the Last Laugh stage this Saturday at Southtown Pub. Chris and Travis have a quick chat with their headliner for the weekend.
Matt Whitener masterfully fills in for Chris Denman with Travis Terrell and the guys proceed to have one hell of a time with comedian, Brad Williams in town for a weekend at Helium Comedy Club. They discuss Black Panther, Dwarf Giants, and more.
Chris, Travis, Gardner and Truckie B start the second hour relaying reaction to the LouFest cancellation from various artists, bands and vendors. The crew wonders if breaking up with the music festival will get awkward. Chris casually drops his confirmation name is Michael, which inspires Gardner to look up a list of black saints. U.S. Representative Billy Long uses his auctioneering skills to drown out a protester during a committee hearing. Travis and Bre are embarrassed Long is from Missouri. Trav attempts to mumble rap in the style of an auctioneer. Are you boycotting Nike due to its new “Just Do It” ad campaign featuring Colin Kaepernick? Is a combination kitchen-bathroom #FairOrFoul? TT reacts to an anonymous senior official in the Trump administration writing an explosive opinion piece in the “New York Times.” Travis asks who penned the op-ed. Gardner plays audio of Infowars’ Alex Jones and Senator Marco Rubio squaring off in a battle of words. Chris is entertained by the duo’s interaction.
Chris and Gardner are both in-studio with Travis and Truckie B running late due to the “LouFest hawk.” Despite the cancellation of Loufest and subsequently the “Last Laugh” comedy tent, Chris announces “We Are Live!” will be hosting a live show involving quite a few stand-up comics at Southtown Pub on Saturday. A random conversation about tennis breaks out. The Cardinals begin a new series win “streak” after beating the Nationals 7-6 last night. Travis thinks the Cards bullpen looks a little gassed. The Redbirds should take advantage of their upcoming schedule. White Sox slugger Jose Abreu reveals he is recovering from surgery to fix a “sideways and strangled” testicle. The gasp inducing procedure leads Gardner to recall a “ball issue” he dealt with some years ago.
Jeff Jones, “Saint Louis Live!” correspondent, joins the show to discuss a number of Cardinals and Blues related topics. The “Ol’ Bug Swallower” is getting props for a particular “shirt story” he’s been sleuthing as of late. Are you read for some football!? The NFL regular season kicks off tonight! Travis is filled with excitement while Chris and Gardner are indifferent to that league. Gardsy claims he will enjoy watching people react to Colin Kaepernick’s new Nike ad. Trav and C. William have a serious chat. Triangle Assassin wins #FairOrFoul.
