Will you choose the world’s seat or God’s seat? God’s seat leads to a lifestyle of humility, which then results in us reaching out to those who needs to be spiritually fed, those who need to be encouraged, and those who have not yet seen or heard the Gospel. Let’s sit in God’s seat; the blessings are indescribable and eternal!

Acts 11:19-30

In Acts 11 we see incredible growth in the life of the church. How did that happen? Followers of Christ did more than just say, “Let’s go to church!” They modeled this wonderful challenge: “Let’s be the church!” The church that was planted at Antioch is a timeless model for today’s Faith Family. Let’s follow the example of the church at Antioch. God will be glorified, and we will be greatly blessed! 

Luke 12:35-38

Yes! Jesus is coming back! We don't know when He will return, but we can get ready and stay ready. Jesus teaches us how to be ready for His return in the parable of the Master who came home after a wedding celebration. When we are ready and excited about Jesus' 2nd coming, we will experience incredible blessings! Let's learn how to get ready and stay ready!

Cleansing of the Temple

Materialism is a huge spiritual challenge in today’s culture. In this parable, Jesus reminds us about how the “stuff” of life will never bring lasting purpose or meaning in life. Then He reveals the path that will lead to eternal spiritual riches. Let’s run down that path and invest in God’s Kingdom!

Luke 11:5-13

Right after Jesus gives us the Disciples’ Prayer in the first part of Luke 11, he shares a parable about how we can grow stronger in our prayer lives.  Prayer flows naturally from a growing relationship with Jesus, who calls us His friends! And, our intercession needs to include praying for others that never ends. Let’s become the people whom God can trust with His awesome answers to prayer. Keep asking, seeding, and knocking – all for God’s glory!

 

Luke 10:25-37

In the parable of the Good Samaritan, a traveler overcomes the excuses people give for refusing to stop and help a struggling neighbor. Let’s reach out in 2022 to those who need a great neighbor in their lives. We will be blessed as we serve as God’s blessing to needy people.
