Exodus 13 guve us a great guideline for living right during rough times.

Passover was a part of God's plan to release, refine, and relocate his people from the land of suffering to the land of promise. God did not want them to settle for less than his best nor does he want you to.

Psalm 34 & selected scriptures. Holy Week began with fickle fading praise of Jesus and would give birth to forever praise on Resurrection Sunday.

Isaiah 6:1-8. In this time of solitude, sickness, and sorrow, we can turn to the 2700 year old story of Isaiah and the prophet’s encounter with the Holy God which brought a spiritual awakening in his life and promises to bring about the same in ours. 

The Bible may not directly speak to the Coronavirus, but it does give us direction on how we are to respond in times of crisis. Through Pslam 46 and 2 Chronicles 5-7, we see 4 P's that can help us in times of world and/or personal crisis:

Our Practice: Prayer

Our Posture: Humilty

Our Pursuit: Seek the Lord

Our Pathway: Follow Jesus

Today, we will look at the familiar verse of John 3:16. It may be familiair, but do we really understand it? God's gift of love, in Jesus, was not for one nation, but rather Jesus was given through Israel so that all would put their faith in him and gain eternal life and fellowship with God. God's love is a 'whosoever' love, written in the rich, royal, regal, unblemished blood of Jesus. Have you experienced God's love? We sure hope you have!

In Matthew 28, Jesus called us to go and make disciples and to be a light that penetrates the darkness. This requires us to be connected to missions, in our neighborhoods and the nations. How do we do this? We must exalt Christ in our lives by giving him glory and honor in all that we do and we must edify and encourage those around us, as we point them to Jesus.

Have you ever wondered where Jesus spoke The Great Commission to the disciples? We don't know for certain, but maybe it was on top of Mount Arbel looking out over the Sea of Galilee into the surrounding land. The Great Commission, found in Matthew 28, reminds us of three points: the Great Commander, The Great Commission, and the Great Comfort found within fulfilling God's work throughout the earth.
