Have you ever been angry with someone? Anger can be righteous, or unrighteous and it is often a weekly, sometimes daily thing. Unrighteous anger often stems from the displeasure of God's plan not matching our preferences. Like Jonah when we long for judgment over justice our self-righteousness is exposed. We are continuously in process of being made into Christ-likeness so that we can enter into the mess of the world with gospel hope.

Have you ever wished ill on someone else while wishing grace on yourself...? It's something we all have! This week we find that gospel is an ongoing process as we learn to repent of our preference over purpose mentality.

This week we are challenged to not be content describing the goodness of God, but rather after tasting it, we are spurred into the lives of others with the full and powerful message of the gospel.

Sometimes in life we find ourselves experiencing dark seasons, cramped by the consequences of our sin, while other times we find ourselves living in the luxury of sin. Often it takes reaching the bottom to understand the simplest truth: we are fully known by God and fully loved. While we deserve death, we can find deliverance as God's grace intersects with the mess and brokenness of our lives no matter how deep or troubling it is.

This Easter Sunday Pastor Seth and his wife Nikki co-teach together, exploring Jesus as the good shepherd, who tends to & protects his flock with deep compassion. He offers us the ultimate & perfect hope - the forgiveness of sins and eternal life - through the laying down his life in his death and picking it back up in his resurrection.

In the final week of his life before his betrayal, arrest, and crucifixion, Jesus "earnestly desired" to share the meal with his disciples, as it would become a powerful symbol of the death he was about to die. This Sunday we will look at Luke 22:7-20 where we'll very briefly explore the historical and traditional elements of preparation and participation in the Passover Seder.

In this week's passage Jonah continues to run from YHWH, though his feeble attempt to be a substitute is met by the greatness of God. As readers we are pointed to Jesus who is the perfect substitute and challenged today to care about the things that YHWH cares about.
