In this episode of Straight Talk About Sales, I am sharing what held me back at one time and I even found myself playing smaller, rather than entering sales conversations with confidence! In my work as a leadership trainer and sales consultant, I have witnessed so many women share these same stories as myself! What is holding us back? How can we be stretched out of our comfort zone? I am addressing those trends in today's episode, What's Holding You Back.

Are you feeling like you are constantly chasing leads and never catching them? Having potential customers lose interest before you even have a chance to engage? In this episode of Straight Talk About Sales I'm taking you into my archives to revisit a conversation about an issue that has been coming up a lot recently with my colleagues and clients - lead generation. There are a couple of different pieces to this puzzle. There's the lead generation piece of attracting the right number of people into your business according to your goals. Then there's the part of nurturing them into your community or pipeline until they're ready to buy. And what does the timeline for both of those look like?

In this episode of Straight Talk About Sales we are talking about MINDSET! I was always told that sales was a very important part of business. Without sales, your business can't grow. However, I never really enjoyed sales or was very good at it. I would often get anxious and stressed thinking about having to make sales calls or close deals. This led to me avoiding sales altogether, which eventually caught up to me. My business blew up and I was in a lot of debt. I realized that I had to make a decision- either stay in this negative cycle or make a change. I decided to make a change and started working on my mindset around sales. I released any judgment or shame I was carrying around my past decisions, got clear on my values and non-negotiables, and painted a vision for what I really wanted my business to look like.

In this episode of Straight Talk About Sales I want to talk to you guys about qualifying your leads before getting on a call with them and what that looks like. Most of us have to get on the phone eventually with someone to sell them a product or service because how else are we going to make that money?! We want these conversations to be as easy and beneficial as possible and that starts with having a lead qualification process in place.
