This week, the University of Salford is celebrating International Women’s Week(IWW), and in a special episode of the Life Under Lockdown podcast, we are joined by Dr Alex Culvin.

This year’s theme for IWW is #ChooseToChallenge – the idea of challenging situations and experiences that go against gender equality.

Dr Alex Culvin currently teaches Business Management in Sport at the Salford Business School, and has had a successful footballing career playing for Liverpool, Everton, Leeds, Bristol Academy and AZ Alkmaar at fullback.

In this episode, Alex will be discussing what IWW means to her, what role models she had in both her careers as an academic and as a sports personality and how she has taken on gender inequality.
