- Episode 50 - AdaptationEpisode 50 – AdaptaionThis week Ben and Hank are discussing Adaptation, the 2002 film from director Spike Jonze and writers Charlie Kaufman and his fictional brother Donald. Adaptation is in theory an adaptation of real book The Orchid Thief by Susan Orlean, but after struggling to adapt the book straight Kaufam writes himself, his anxiety and struggle to adapt the book into the movie itself. He also creates a twin brother for himself (Nicolas Cage plays both roles) to help him get where he needs to go. This movie goes places and this is a full spoiler discussion so if you’re interested at all probably watch the movie beforehand.Email: [email protected]Twitter: @SaltCirclePodHank's Twitter: @ComicPanelsBen's Twitter: @Bean_LPLogo Artist: bellamy.world/1 hr 3 min

- Episode 47 - Just A Casual MTG ConversationBen and Hank just chat about various Magic the Gathering topics for an hour. - Episode 46 - Berserk (1997)This week is a discussion about one of the few anime Ben really likes, Berserk. Hank just watched it for the first time and has some... issues with it. All and all it's a pretty good in depth discussion about what does and does not work about the show. Ben has read the manga so there's a little talk about that thrown in for context.Berserk is not a series for the faint of heart so be aware if you can't handle topics such as rape or self harm.Email: [email protected]Twitter: @SaltCirclePodHank's Twitter: @ComicPanelsBen's Twitter: @Bean_LPLogo Artist: bellamy.world/1 hr 15 min

- Episode 43 - Phantom ThreadBen asked Hank if there was a movie he hadn't seen that he'd been meaning to watch and the answer to that was 2017's Phantom Thread. So that's what they watched. They both went into this blind so basically anything was possible. Let's just say they were both surprised by this movie.Email: [email protected]Twitter: @SaltCirclePodHank's Twitter: @ComicPanelsBen's Twitter: @Bean_LPLogo Artist: bellamy.world/59 min
- Episode 42 - Fourth Of July Special - Yakuza Apocalypse Commentary Track | Salt Screen
WARNING: This is not a normal podcast episode. This is a running commentary for the 2015 film Yakuza Apocalypse. Additional content warning: Yakuza Apocalypse is an incredibly dumb, fun, silly movie, but unfortunately it has a pretty brutal rape scene early on, so just be aware if you're watching the film for the first time. Hank invites Ben on a journey to watch one of his favorite films. Armed only with the knowledge that this is a movie about Yakuza Vampires, Ben goes in blind and unprepared for what happens here. This movie is pretty wild and incredibly stupid. Correction: When listing other movies that Takashi Miike, the director of Yakuza Apocalypse, has directed Hank accidentally said the title Lady Vengeance, which is a Park Chan-wook film. This was a brain fart and the movie Hank meant to mention was Audition. Email: [email protected] Twitter: @SaltCirclePod Hank's Twitter: @ComicPanels
