We conclude our coverage of Dances with Films 2023 by talking to filmmaker Barry Rubinow. Barry is an Emmy Award winning filmmaker whose new documentary Banded Together: The Boys from Glen Rock High screens today at 4:45PM PST (7/2/23) at the TLC Chinese Theater in Hollywood.
I loved the film and the fact that all of these incredible musicians (Lee Shapiro, the Vivino brothers and John Feeney just to name a few) came from one high school during the same era is remarkable.
Great film, great chat! Purchase tickets below.

"Showcasing the unique story of a group of close friends from the same tiny high school who all went on to make it big. From band practice under their inspiring High School music teacher Joe Sielski, to playing alongside such legends as Bruce Springsteen and Al Kooper, these eight men all have remarkable journeys. Director Barry Rubinow beautifully captures their stories in this once-in-a-lifetime documentary celebrating music and homegrown camaraderie."
