What if God has already placed His word in your mouth and called you to speak it over every dry bone in your life? This week we concluded our series on the Power of Words with a powerful message from Ezekiel 37 — the valley of dry bones. The message was clear: when we prophesy God's word over our situations, things have no choice but to change.

Like Ezekiel, we are each commissioned to speak what God has placed in our mouths — over our health, our marriages, our finances, and our futures. As Jeremiah 1:5 reminds us, He knew us before we were formed and appointed us. The calling was never about our qualifications. It was always about His word spoken through willing lips.

When we prophesy His word, order comes first — then life. The Holy Spirit is hovering, ready, waiting for the word to be spoken. Do not stop prophesying.

What you treasure is what you pursue. In part 9 of our series "The Power of Words," we explored the necessity of building our lives on God's Word — not just as information, but as transformation.

Job lost everything, yet Satan could not take away his fellowship with God. Why? Because Job treasured the words from God's mouth more than his necessary food (Job 23:10-12). Before there was a written Word, men like Enoch, Noah, and Abraham walked with God through direct communion — the rhema, the spoken Word of God.

Jesus said in Matthew 7:24 that anyone who listens to His teaching and follows it is like a person who builds on solid rock. The question is not just whether we read His Word, but whether we hear His voice.

Push beyond information and seek transformation. God still speaks — and His Word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105).

Your words are not just sounds in the air — they are either working for the Kingdom of God or they are spiritually unemployed. In Matthew 12:33-37, Jesus made it clear that we will give an account for every idle word spoken. That is not a warning to take lightly.

This week, Pastor unpacked what "idle" truly means in the original Greek — words that are not at work, not building, not advancing God's purposes. One day we will stand before Christ and answer for how our words either built His Kingdom or fell silent when they were needed most.

The good news is that John encourages us in 2 John 8 to work in such a way that we receive a full reward. Our words can acquit us. They can be the proof of a righteous heart that has been transformed by grace.

Your words and your actions are telling the same story -- or they are not. That is the heart of this week's message in our ongoing series, The Power of Words. Part seven brings us to a powerful truth: our actions are the extension of our words. A confession of faith that has no corresponding fruit is, as James 2 puts it, dead and useless.

Romans 10:9-10 reminds us that believing in your heart and openly declaring Jesus as Lord are both essential -- and that declaration must be backed by a life that reflects it. As Jesus warned in Matthew 7:21, not everyone who calls out His name will enter the kingdom of heaven, but those who actually do the will of the Father.

What kind of fruit are you producing? In Part 6 of our series "The Power of Words," we discovered that our words reveal what is truly in our hearts — and our hearts reveal what kind of tree we really are.

Jesus taught in Luke 6:43-45 that a good tree cannot produce bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot produce good fruit. But here is the powerful truth — when God grafts His Word and His nature into us, we become a new creation capable of producing consistent, godly fruit. It is not about cleaning up the outside. It is about surrendering the inside.

Behavioral modification will always fail. True transformation happens when we allow God to change our hearts, because our mouths will always tell on what is stored within us. If you are tired of inconsistent fruit, surrender your heart to the One who makes all things new.

What if the key to guarding your tongue started with simply learning to listen? In part five of our series, we dove into James 1:19 — the call to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. These are not suggestions. They are innate instincts placed within every believer.

Jesus himself modeled this perfectly. Standing before Pilate, falsely accused, he chose silence over retaliation. His restraint was not weakness — it was trust. Silence becomes an act of trust when we leave vindication in God's hands.

Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. But righteous anger, fueled by love and a hatred of sin, reflects the very heart of God. When we love what he loves and hate what he hates, his anointing follows.

Guard your tongue. Listen deeply. Speak carefully. Trust God with the rest.

What if the very person you least expected stopped to speak life into you? In John 4, Jesus — tired from a long journey — chose to pause at a well and engage a Samaritan woman that society had written off. He did not let exhaustion, cultural barriers, or her sarcasm stop Him from speaking words that would heal her brokenness and build her into someone who would change her entire village.

Words carry weight — and they reveal what is truly in our hearts. In Part 3 of our Power of Words series, we explored one of the most striking contrasts in Scripture: Peter declaring Jesus as the Messiah by divine revelation (Matthew 16:13-19), then just moments later speaking words Jesus called a dangerous trap (Matthew 16:21-23). Same mouth. Same day. Two completely different sources.

Jesus did not just correct Peter's words — He addressed the source behind them. Our words flow from our hearts, and as Proverbs 4:23 reminds us, the heart determines the course of our life. What we allow through the gates of our eyes and ears shapes what comes out of our mouths.

The question is not whether we have spoken destructively — we all have. The question is whether we will guard our hearts and commit to speaking God's Word over our lives and situations.

This week's message challenged us to examine the duality of our words and the difference between what seems "good" and what is truly godly. Like Eve in the garden, we can be drawn to what appears right while missing the heart of God's will entirely. Proverbs 4:20-23 calls us to guard our hearts, obey God's Word, and speak life intentionally.

The choice is ours. We can speak death or we can speak life. We can prophesy God's Word over our families, our finances, and our futures -- or we can let an unguarded tongue set our world on fire. Be intentional. Speak life.
