For reasons unknown to the DMs, the PCs, the NPCs and the listeners, the party has volunteered to be arrested. Now that they're incarcerated, they can either choose to break out or stay and get acquainted with their new neighbours. About eighty percent of this episode is the latter of these options.

Though it has only been two weeks since the release of the last episode in our universe it has been a month or two since we last recorded, even moreso for Alastair. We are all out of practice. The party accidentally assault a dwarf and then shout at him until he tells them what they want

They've only been in Innovsfall for half a day and our heroes are already on the run from the law. Ruth gets covered in effluence,  Styx gets covered in effluence, Lumpkin gets covered in effluence, Tarquin gets very much covered in effluence, and all of this is completely out of the DM's hands. They brought this on themselves...

Trapped in the alley by the mysterious mercenary Skinner and his goons, Ruth, Tarquin and Sniv must fight for their lives to get past them. Meanwhile Styx and Lumpkin are completely unaware that their allies are currently being mugged further up the road. Will they hear the clash of steel and flesh that proclaims a fight? And, if they do... will they care?

Night is drawing in on Mrs Libby's House of Comforts, however many members of the party are finding it hard to make themselves as comfortable as they should like to, especially with the present company. Styx signs up for open-mic night, Tarquin catches up with his mother, Ruth learns more about the mysterious box, and Lumpkin sees a moth.

Two weeks in to their quest the party arrives into the reborn city of Innovsfall in search of someone who can help them discern the contents of the snail-shelled box. Within the city old allies and new threats introduce themselves. Some are expected, while others most certainly are not.

After returning to the caravan to find their allies under attack from a flock of winged kobolds, the party try to regain the ground they lost in the trash-fire that was Episode 8. With kobolds, owlbears, at least two witches and a dragon in the mix, there appears to be a lot to be concerned about, and that's before even considering the random encounters...

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. I saw a teddy bear shoot a laser out of its chest. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain." - Roy Batty, Blade Runner (more or less)

Yeah, we lost Lumpkin's audio. But no matter, the quest must continue! After leaving massacre-town the party head to hug-central thereafter everyone loses the plot both figuratively and literally. Ruth meets an old friend, Tarquin unwillingly buys lemonade, and Lumpkin finally gets to unleash the fury within.
