After opening eight salons, a flagship salon was opened just off Berkeley Square in London. 

In 1990, Reg opened our first salon in the United States, located in the DC Metro area. We currently have 15 salons and recently opened our first barbering salon – PR Barbers.

Karen Gordon, President of Karen Gordon Hair Loss Solutions, is a Certified Trichologist through the World Trichology Society (WTS). She  has served as an advisory board member for WTS and the International Association of Trichologists (IAT). She has also served on the Board of Directors of Intercoiffure America/Canada, and in 2022 was awarded the Ordre de la Chevaliere in Paris, France. She is a Past-President of Cosmetologists Chicago and America’s Beauty Show. She is a Bauman Certified Hair Coach. Last year her clinic was named one of the top 10 trichology centers in the United States for CRLab. Karen has a Master’s Degree in Applied Business from De Paul University in Chicago.

In 2016, Karen created the Gordon Method of Hair & Scalp Analysis to more accurately uncover the underlying causes of hair loss and scalp conditions, and she teaches the Gordon Method to trichologists worldwide. She sees clients in her Chicago office and has a global clientele that she sees virtually. She is a sought-after speaker and educator on hair loss and scalp health.

An In-depth Conversation with Phillip Wilson. 

When Phillip Wilson was a small boy, he would accompany his mother to the salon where he would sweep up hair and catch ashes dropped from slumbering ladies under the dryers. He fell in love with the scents, the sounds, and the salon experience. Receiving coins for tips here and there helped him learn early on that care and kindness go a long way. When asked by the schools head master to leave school at 14, he began to explore life beyond his small town in coastal England. Phillip set his sites on passing the entrance exam for Cosmetology and he worked hard, jumping the mail train each morning to make his way to college. After completing his licensing, he moved to London and was fortunate enough to assist with Vidal Sassoon, Raymond – a.k.a. Teazy Weazy, Alexander of Paris, and many of the Grand Masters of Europe. A few years later, while working a side gig in a pub on Guernsey Island, Phillip was introduced to his greatest young opportunity.  Being at the right place at the right time, he was asked to dress the hair of visiting Royal Duchesses for a special occasion. They all fell in love with him and he was asked back time and again.

Jumping the Pond

When Phillip moved to Canada in the mid 1970’s, he began his platform artist career and opened his first salons in Vancouver. There, he honed all of those skills learned from so many. He began cutting hair with two combs and two brushes in a very free-form style.  This became his Wilson Method over the years and is still how he approaches hair today.

Named one of the Top 100 Artists of all time by Modern Salon, his work has been featured on T.V. and on magazine covers over the last 3 decades. He has travelled the world with his wife Mary to share his passion, creativity, and love for this industry.

A Chicago native, Jeffrey received his early training from his father, Robert, who he credits as the greatest influence on his career. Jeffrey went on to advanced training at the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Academy in London, followed by additional training at TONI&GUY, Trevor Sorbie, Rusk, Eclipse, and many others. As an industry leader, Jeffrey believes in nurturing his staff’s abilities through continued education and training. Jeffrey recently opened ACADEMY, an education and training facility where his staff regularly trains to sharpen their skills.

With over 120 employees in three Chicagoland locations, Jeffrey LaMorte focuses on service excellence. Jeffrey began his career in 1984, and as his reputation grew, so did his salon’s success. He opened the first Jeffrey LaMorte Salon & Day Spa in Frankfort in 1994, followed by his Orland Park salon in 2001, after which came the Lemont location in 2007 and the Robert Jeffrey Location in Lakeview, Chicago, in 2022. Each salon shares the goal of creating a friendly and approachable environment where clients always feel respected, comfortable, and welcome.
