_Popular spinner Muttiah Muralitharan has said that the 800 film starring Selvan Vijay Sethupathi will be released after the threat of corona infection has abated.
He made the revelation in an interview with Sri Lankan television last night. He also confirmed that Vijay Sethupathi will no longer be starring in the film. He further said,
Of course that movie will come out. The film was cut in half due to the corona epidemic crisis. I had appealed to people to stop Selvan Vijay Sethupathi from this movie.
I made such a request to him because he was under a lot of pressure.
It is not acceptable to criticize that I do not speak Tamil. They say that I do not come before much media. First of all I am a Sri Lankan citizen. Then came race and religion.
This is true no matter what anyone threatens. That is why I have started a foundation to help people in all districts of Sri Lanka.
There are two sides to the country. Those on the one hand think that I am Sinhalese and not Tamil, and on the other hand think otherwise.
Life is short. In that sense 800 movies will come to the screen after the end of the Covide infection threat. Screened in 7 languages.
Everything is complete as the screenplay. 99% of the cast in the film are Sri Lankans. The lead actor is expected to be called from India.
I expect to give the opportunity for an actress to someone in Sri Lanka. Introducing an actress from Sri Lanka to the world will enable her to go international and bring out her talent. ”
