and Knights of old in Kingdoms bold

Talk to me of Comely Queens

and stalwart scenes of Castles old

 

Talk to me of dreams….moonbeams

whose radiant  rays dance in my hair

as moon lays low on flower and trees

and brilliant beams caress for e’er 

 

Talk to me of merry fairies

of Sprites mischievous interplay

Talk to me of ruffled wings

and tender things that stow away

 

Talk to me of whispering winds

and myriad stars of Milky Way

Talk to me of rising suns---

 Psalm 118 " O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.

  Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

  Let the house of Aaron now say, that his

mercy endureth for ever.

  Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his

mercy endureth for ever.

  I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD

answered me, and set me in a large

place.

  The LORD is

on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

The LORD taketh my

part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my

desire upon them that hate me.

 It is

better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

  It is

better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.

All nations

compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them.

  They compassed me about; yea, they compassed

me about: but in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.

 They compassed me about like bees; they are

quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the LORD I will destroy

them.

 

  Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might

fall: but the LORD helped me.

  The LORD is

my strength and song, and is become my salvation.

 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right

hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

 The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the

right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

  I shall not die, but live, and declare the

works of the LORD.

  The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath

not given me over unto death.

  Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will

  This gate of the LORD, into which the

righteous shall enter.

The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

 This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.

  This is

the day which the LORD hath made; we

will rejoice and be glad in it.

beseech thee, send now prosperity.

 Blessed be

  God is

1 Corinthians  13 " Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.  And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,  Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;  Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;   Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.  For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity."

 1Kings 19:1-18"  And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword. Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time. And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there.  But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers. And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.  And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.  And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.   And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God. And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?   And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away. 

 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:   And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.   And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?   And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.   And the LORD said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria:  And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room. And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay.  Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him."

White wears the color of winter

well.

 As telling tales of ice on

trees.

And lace dressed up in

symphonies.

She sings   soliloquies of chill.

And

wills her beauty to beguile.

While adding joy to every

child.

Wind whistles through remaining

leaves.

Believing white world's

interweaves.

And as white permeates the season.She

stalwart stands  giving her

reason.

Knowing as icicles

zing.

They soon give way 

to  shades of spring
