This week on Sanctified in Truth we will look at Christmas in the Old Testament. Today we think about Genesis 3 and why there is even a "Christmas" at all.

Some people accuse John of not including the Christmas story in his Gospel. John tells the Christmas story, but he explains it from a theological perspective. Today we think about why Jesus had to become human for salvation to be accomplished.

The story of the Incarnation begins long before the birth of Jesus and even long before Gabriel says something to Mary. As Paul reflects on the Incarnation of Christ he teaches believers that we do not only benefit from what Jesus was able to accomplish because of the Incarnation, but the Incarnation itself serves as a model for what it means to love like Christ.

As we start this Christmas focused season of Sanctified in Truth we think about what Advent, or the coming of Jesus, teaches us. 

As we conclude the book of Hebrews, the author has some final encouragement for every Christian's prayer life. Sanctified in Truth will return December 1 as we celebrate Advent and the Christmas season!

God's people have always honored him by offering sacrifices. What kind of sacrifices should we offer God and what is our motivation for offering sacrifices to him?

The Bible could be said to be a story of two mountains--Mt. Sinai and Mt. Zion. What is the significance of the mountains and what is the difference? 

On the last episode we saw that God disciplines his children out of love and care and on this episode we will explore various forms that the discipline takes as God pushes us toward endurance.

The writer of Hebrews says that God disciplines his children . . . and that the discipline of God is a good thing! What does the Bible mean when it speaks of discipline and why should we be thankful for it?

As we conclude our exploration of faith this week we are reminded that faith is no guarantee of an outcome and see that faith always points us to the faithfulness of God.
