Mrs.  Foster, the district's Career. Technical Education (CTE) coordinator sheds light on the CTE classes. Adunola Ogedengbe talked with Mr. Brigham about how to excel in AP US History, a class that many juniors take here at Sandburg. Mr. Brigham is a legend at Sandburg who is set to retire after 35 years of teaching at Sandburg this year. In an engaging podcast organized by the SSLT (Student Services Leadership Team), members of the newly established Asian Student Association at Carl Sandburg High School shared their mission and vision. The podcast highlighted the club's admirable goal of fostering a sense of belonging and unity among Asian students, providing them with a platform to connect, share experiences, and celebrate their diverse cultures. This insightful discussion offered a glimpse into the positive impact that this inclusive and vibrant club is making within the school community.

In a recent podcast hosted by the SSLT (Student School Leadership Team), Dr. Miguel Saucedo, the Director of Post Secondary Strategic Intervention for Chicago Public Schools, provided valuable insights into enhancing post-secondary education opportunities for students. Dr. Saucedo's expertise illuminated the critical role strategic interventions play in guiding minorities, specifically Hispanic Students, toward success in higher education. The podcast offered a compelling discussion on innovative approaches within the application to college to ensure equitable access and support for all students on their journey to post-secondary achievement.

Mr. Allen, a science teacher here at Sandburg, noticed a trend in GPA among students from their Freshman to Senior year. He spoke to us about the importance of starting strong to maintain your GPA through your high school career.
