Sapphic voices - Radio Reverb

We will tell the first of our stories of Warrior Women from around the world with the enchanting Khutulun - unbeaten Mongolian wrestling champion and all-round warrior princess.

We will also be dipping into the world of ancient Greece with the likes of Diogenes and the Cynics (should be the title of a band!).

Not only this but a repeat of Chapter 1 of our sapphic audio drama At Last. 

Plus we'll be film chatting about Spanish sapphic film 80 days and playing some excellent tunes to go with it all.

We've been talking to Ash Kotak of AIDS Memory UK about the campaign to create a national AIDS memorial and to performer Tallulah Haddon about sapphic film Justine.

Some of you might have seen TV drama 'It's A Sin' on Channel 4 over the last few weeks.  The drama tells the story of the devastating impact of the AIDS virus on a group of friends living in London during the 80s.  

We wanted to talk to some of the lesbians who lived through this time and lost friends and colleagues to AIDS and who worked with those living with the virus. 

We were really lucky to find some amazing people to talk to about these times, including Ash Kotak of the AIDS Memory UK Campaign.

Leanne also got the opportunity to have a great chat with Jamie Patterson, director of sapphic film 'Justine'. Set in Brighton - Justine is a love story which looks at the search for love and belonging in a chaotic world.  

The film will be available to watch online on Curzon Home Cinema from 5th March.  

Featuring the marvellous D Lee Miller in full technicolor (audible version) with two monologues, The Review and Ball & Chain, performed by 

Rose-Alma Lamoureux.  We also have a wonderful interview with D Lee Miller herself talking about writing and performing in New York.
