I have chosen to leave them in this telling to stay true to the text, but also did not want to leave that unaddressed.

We cannot change how things were. But what we can do is acknowledge the hurt and learn and grow together from it. The language that we use and the way we talk to and about other humans matters deeply. Lets be conscious of how we treat one another and make the world a better place for all of us, together.**
